Privacy

blode.co is Matthew Blode's personal website. There is no company product, no user accounts, and no advertising network. This page explains what happens when you visit, write, or subscribe.

What is collected on a normal visit

Pages are public. The site does not require a login and does not set an account cookie. A small analytics script (PostHog, proxied through this origin when configured) records page views so I can see which writing and projects people actually open. It is not used to build a marketing profile or to sell an audience.

Contact form

The contact form sends your name, email, and message to my inbox through Resend. Cloudflare Turnstile has to succeed before anything is sent. I read those messages to reply. I do not add form submitters to a list unless you also confirm a newsletter signup. Security reports can also go to m.blode@gmail.com.

Newsletter

Newsletter signup is confirmed opt-in. The address is not stored on this server. A signed token goes out by email, and only the confirm link writes the address into a Resend segment. If you never click, the pending signup disappears. You can unsubscribe from any newsletter email.

Booking a call

The schedule pages embed a Cal.com calendar. Choosing a time and submitting the booking form sends your name, email, and any notes to Cal.com so the meeting can be created. I see those details so I can show up. I do not add bookers to a list unless you also confirm a newsletter signup.

Agent traffic

The MCP server, OpenAPI spec, and markdown twins are anonymous. They do not accept credentials and they do not create a session. Request logs on the host may include an IP and user agent for abuse handling, the same as any other HTTP request.

What is not done with the data

I do not sell personal data. I do not run third-party ad pixels. I do not share contact-form contents except with the email provider that delivers them. If a request arrives that I am legally required to answer, I will.

Who to ask

I am based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Questions about this policy belong on the contact form or at m.blode@gmail.com.
