Uses

The hardware, software, and tools I actually use to build. Most of my daily software is stuff I built myself.

Editor and terminal

Codex
OpenAI’s coding agent and the other half of my daily loop next to Claude Code. I switch between the two by task, and as a Codex ambassador it gets a lot of hours.
Claude Code
The core of how I build now. Every session opens with the same prompt: research deeply, plan in phases, fan out a swarm of subagents.
cmux
Parallel agent workspaces. I review what the agents change through DiffHub, my own local diff viewer.

Hardware

MacBook Pro
Runs Claude Code around the clock.
Kinesis Advantage
A contoured split board with concave key wells and thumb clusters. It keeps my wrists neutral and my hands still through long Claude Code and Codex sessions.
iPhone
A remote control for the MacBook. I SSH in to build from the couch or merge from bed.

Apps and glue

The glue layer nobody invests in, where the gains hide.

Raycast
Snippets for every repeated prompt. Typing ‘zcc’ expands to my full Claude Code kickoff in three keystrokes.

My apps

Software I built and use every day.

Done Bear
A calm, local-first task manager for focused people and teams. I run my day out of it.
Convene
Open-source meeting transcription for macOS.

What I built

The Glide typeface, the Blode Icons set, the Blode UI registry, and the agents are on the Blode Stack. Everything else, client work included, is in all projects.
