Introduction
Iconsmith is an AI model for icons. It draws in a family's hand, keeps to its grid, and you keep the SVG.
Iconsmith is presented as a model: the id iconsmith-1. Name an icon, pick the cut, and two authors draw it while the compiler checks every line. You review the candidates. A result is checked, never approved.
The live zone is blode.co/iconsmith. The same draw is one HTTP call, POST /api/v1/icons. A coding agent can install the public skill and call this model.
What it does
- Draws 16/20/24px icons in the bundled Blode family
- Constrains geometry to the family's grid, stroke and radius tiers
- Compiles an editable
.iconprogram to SVG and checks it in-process - Returns the SVG, the program, findings and token usage
Ways to call it
- In the browser at blode.co/iconsmith: the playground is the demo.
- Over HTTP at
POST https://blode.co/iconsmith/api/v1/icons. See the API. - In a coding agent with the public skill at github.com/mblode/iconsmith. See getting started.
Credits
Prepaid credits sit behind a live API key (ism_live_…) when the deployment turns them on. A test key (ism_test_ plus 32 characters) returns a sandbox draw on any deployment, bills nothing, and needs no issuance. Browser draws require sign-in and monthly USD usage billing.
